Car Insight
Comments OffBMW-Rest assured: the BMW Z3 made a much larger impression in Detroit than it did in the new James Bond flick. Probably the most impressive Z3 spec is the price — $29,320, which includes ABS, dual airbags, central locking and air conditioning. The base engine is a 138 hp, 1.9-liter four — which is a slightly bored-out version of the 1.8-liter engine found in the 3-Series. BMW claims a 0-62 mph time of 9.5 seconds. This could be the next best fun open-top car this side of a Miata.
Plymoth Prowler- To keep costs down, Prowler engineers borrowed parts from several other Chrysler vehicles. The engine is the same 3.5-liter V-6 found in the Intrepid, although the Prowler will be rear-wheel instead of front-wheel drive. Rear brakes come from the new Neon.. The steering column comes from the Grand Cherokee. All to keep the price at less than $40,000. This is exciting. Get car insurance quotes for free.
