Cheap Car Insurance Policy And Getting An Umbrella Policy
Comments OffThere are very many tricks and tips that will help you be better positioned for a very cheap car insurance policy that gives you adequate coverage. However, there are quite only a few of them that will help you pay less but actually make you get superior coverage. That is, you get to pay less but also get coverage that is far better than what you were paying higher premiums for. Here’s one of such tips…
Reduce the liability part of your auto policy to the barest minimum required by law where you live. If the law permits, remove it entirely. But before you do that, get an umbrella policy in its place and you’ll enjoy far better coverage for a lot less. Let me make it clearer…
Let’s assume you live in New York and currently have bodily injury liability coverage that pays out a maximum of $25k per person and $50k per incident, you will need to spend about $300 more to get it to $100k per person and $300k per incident. Attempt to raise it to $200k per person and $600k per incident and you’ll have to pay very high rates.
But consider that you will get an umbrella policy that gives you $1 million liability coverage for just $300 and you can see the huge difference. If you choose to get $2 million dollars worth, you’d just have to spend about $375. And the best part is that this liability coverage will also cover you for home related matters and business-related liability claims. That’s paying little for much more.
