For a number of reasons including stress, body chemistry, and especially genetics, millions of men will lose there hair early. Using a shampoo for hair restoration can make a big difference in whether or not they regain the locks they have lost. Some of these men do not start to see the loss until they are middle aged, but even men in their twenties can experience loss of hair or a receding hairline. Men do not need to simply accept their hair loss as an unpleasant fact. Hair restoration is an attainable option for those uncomfortable with their missing hair.
There are several different types of hair growth supplements that can be used to treat the baldness. Which product is best for an individual will depend a lot on why they are losing their hair in the first place and their individual situation. The first thing a man should do when he becomes concerned about his hair loss is to make an appointment with his primary care physician to talk things over. His doctor may be able to suggest an treatment that is appropriate for the patient’s situation, or give the patient a referral to another doctor who may specialize in hair replacement.

A mid-life crisis is a condition where a man or a woman feels extreme self-doubt or a sense of unable to achieve one’s goal because of coming of age. This usually starts by age 40 to 60 and usually triggered by hormonal imbalances.
It is important to mention that hormones are substances that we naturally produce on a regular basis. The amounts secreted are always the same or right amounts are made at a monthly basis especially for women. Any irregularities can trigger all sorts of emotional experiences.
A mid-life crisis is always associated with andropause or menopause but another contributing factor especially in males is hair loss. It seems that once a man notices an increase in hair fall or a receding hair line, they can’t help but feel old. That’s why it’s wise to use a hair loss treatment early on.
This crisis can be a lifelong condition if you choose to, but can be as short as a few days if you learn to accept whatever situation you are in and just learn to relax and enjoy the rest of your life.

Ketoconazole, an antifungal drug is also being used as a hair loss treatment. Preliminary research has shown that it may help those who have androgenic alopecia.
When taken orally, Ketoconazole appears to inhibit various androgen-binding processes, including the binding of DHT to the hair follicle receptors. DHT or Dihydrotestosterone is the main cause of male pattern hair loss.
When used as a shampoo, ketoconazole treats the fungus that causes dandruff. Dandruff is known to play a role in developing hair loss. The drug also has an anti-inflammatory effect, thus helping to prevent hair loss by protecting the hair follicles. An inflammatory reaction plays a major role in causing pattern baldness.
Although oral ketoconazole has been shown to block DHT binding to follicle receptors, it cannot be recommended as a primary hair loss treatment since ketoconazole can have serious side effects when ingested. This includes persistent nausea, vomiting, heart problems, and severe liver problems.
Shampoos containing ketoconazole are available in 1% and 2% formulations. The higher dose has been shown to inhibit DHT better but can only be used once or twice a week. Over usage of ketoconazole is not recommended because of potential adverse effects.
Thus, ketoconazole is effective in managing fungal scalp conditions but cannot be used solely to control baldness. It can be helpful when used in combination with other hair loss treatments for androgenetic alopecia.

The thought of hair loss creates a stir on the minds of male teenagers. It haunts them with images of boy with bald spots on the head being teased by schoolmates, and avoided by girls. Statistically, Teenage Baldness is more common on boys than on girls. Hair loss in men is likely to occur mostly between late teen-age years and age bracket 40-50. This means that adult or even teenage boys may experience baldness in younger ages. Families with male relatives who have loss hair in a noticeably male pattern expect hair loss in greater percentage than others who do not have family history of baldness occurrence. Pharmaceutical drugs can initiate hair loss among boys. Teenage boys are fond of applying hair care products like gels, sprays, creams for purposes of achieving good looks without realizing it damages hair and eventually leads to hair loss. Several cases of teenage baldness with boys are also linked with certain diseases, anxiety, or poor nutrition.
